				At SPEKVA, it is our aim to manufacture quality products using raw materials with a known place of origin, full sustainability and minimum impact on environment. All our teak wood is thus purchased from plantations in order to prevent inroads in the original rainforest. SPEKVA’s love for wood and focus on sustainable forestry are underlined by the FSC-certification we obtained in 2003 as one of the first worktop manufacturers in the world.  To the extent it is possible to procure FSC-approved wood at competitive prices, we have thus committed ourselves to use such wood in our production.   What is FSC? In an FSC forest no more wood is cut than the forest is able to regenerate. At the same time, FSC is a guarantee that animal and plant life are protected and that the people who work in the forest are provided with training, safety equipment and a proper pay.
